Note di degustazione
Full, bright medium ruby. Rather brooding scents of blueberry blackberry, menthol, licorice, graphite and herbs. Suave and juicy on entry, then intensely flavored and penetrating in the middle palate, with slightly elevated acidity and firm tannins giving the back end a somewhat hard, dry, pinched edge. But there's excellent fruit intensity and length here, and even a touch of dark berry sweetness. Still, the combination of almost peppery acidity and firm, dusty tannins limits the wine's pleasure quotient. Will it become more pliant with further cellaring?

The inky opaque purple-colored 2010 Cabernet Franc Leopoldina Vineyard offers an attractive blueberry-scented nose, stunning medium to full-bodied flavors that coat the palate, but are not heavy, pure blue and black fruits, glorious texture and precision, and an amazingly long finish. One of the finest California Cabernet Francs I have tasted, this sleeper of the vintage should drink well for 10-15+ years. Readers should check out Turnbull Wine Cellars without delay. Tel.
