A wonderfully exotic, pretty, and delicious wine with a mix of wild berries and their bloom, violet cream, white pepper and saline, touches of spice, and ferric accents. There is a lot of complexity here carrying through a light-bodied wine with lots of mouthwatering freshness, silky tannin, and length for days. All whole cluster. (ECB)

A powerful, gamy wine, the 2012 Syrah Majik Vineyard is endowed with tons of varietal character and nuance. The flavors are deep and pungent to the core, with plenty of game, tobacco, black pepper, smoke and purple fruit overtones. This wild, animalistic Syrah is not for the timid, but it sure is beautiful. I imagine the 2012 will captivate those lucky enough to own it for the better part of a decade, perhaps beyond. The Majik is a wine of total intrigue.
Bright purple. Pungent, complex aromas of cherry, blueberry, smoky minerals, violet and spicecake. Juicy, silky and perfumed in the mouth, with bright acidity lifting the cassis, floral pastille and allspice flavors. Finishes long, minerally and gently tannic, with sexy spicecake and floral tones lingering.
Wind Gap's 2012 Syrah Majik Vineyard shows the more ferrous, savory side of Syrah. Here the fruit takes on distinctly red-toned hues, followed by scents iron, sweet tobacco and wild flowers. This is another complex, intense Syrah loaded with nuance and personality.
