The 2021 Chardonnay Estate is every bit as compelling as it was last year when I tasted it from barrel. The 2021 deftly marries freshness, energy and mountain structure. White pear, jasmine, flowers, mint and a kiss of French oak all grace this delineated, understated Chardonnay. There's quite a bit of reserve here, and that should stand the Chardonnay in good stead as it ages. This is one of the great Chardonnays of Napa Valley, and California, for that matter.
