The 2019 Tierra (Sangiovese) is gorgeous and also full of varietal character. Elegant and transparent in the glass, the 2019 is so impressive. Bright red Sangiovese fruit is front and center. The 2019 needs time to show its full range of aromatics, so I would cellar it for at least a year or two. The purity of the fruit is just striking.

All Sangiovese, the 2019 Tierra reveals a semi-opaque ruby hue to go with lots of ripe cherry and blackberry fruits as well as roasted herbs, spice box, and hints of leather and meatiness. Nicely textured, medium-bodied, and balanced, it offers classic varietal character and should have a decade of prime drinking.
