Note di degustazione
The blueberry and blackberry character is impressive and turns to black olives. Some cloves. Full-bodied, dense and polished and a fluid, juicy and broad-shouldered finish. Savory. Drink or hold.

Made of 100% Cabernet, the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach gives up bold scents of crème de cassis, black cherry compote, black raspberries and dried mulberries with touches of garrigue, dried herbs and cigar box. Full-bodied, concentrated, taut and with lovely freshness, it has a wonderfully fine-grained textured paving the long herb-sparked finish. 550 cases produced.
Lots of spice, sagebrush, purple iris, and blue fruits emerge from the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach, which has a classic, structured, full-bodied profile on the palate. From a larger site on Atlas Peak and aged in 80% new oak, it has lots of potential yet needs 2-3 years of bottle age.
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard is a dark, mysterious wine. Crushed rocks, sage, menthol, licorice, lavender and crème de cassis inform this inky, flamboyant Cabernet. The big Stagecoach tannins are present, but they are also very nicely balanced in the wine's fabric. This sumptuous, racy mountain Cabernet has a lot going on. I would give it a few years in bottle to soften.
