Note di degustazione
An essay in richness and balance, this is a plush and velvety thing that\'s swathed in spices. It has plenty of pure and bright blackberries, raspberries and red to dark plums on the nose, as well as fine dark chocolate and cedary, spicy oak. The palate has the texture of velvet dusted in cocoa powder; it\'s totally saturated in plum and blackberry flavors and is juicy and succulent in terms of plum-stone flavors as it launches through the long, pure and lip-smacking finish. Brilliant wine: the best Sami-Odi release to date. Best from 2020 and for a decade or more after that.

Redcurrant, rhubarb, very light and spicy then the finish grips hard – good bracing stuff! Sophisticated, fine, long. (RH)
Cork, in very distinctive squat flasks. Rich and round with real appeal. A bit drying on the end. (JR)
To be blended and bottled in October, the 2014 XIV is intensely perfumed with fragrant notes of violets and lavender, black and red fruit, cherries and mulberries plus a hint of dried herbs. Firm, fresh, and very structured on the medium to full-bodied palate, the vibrant berry flavors are laced with herbal and mineral nuances, lingering with great persistence. Due to a frost this year, only 250 cases were made.
