Note di degustazione
The 2022 Chardonnay Little Hill comes from the last remaining old vines planted by Joe Rochioli Jr. in 1972. Soft flinty tones give way to poached pear, white peach, elderflower and marshmallow aromas. The light-bodied palate is understated and gently textural, coating the mouth with creamy fruit. It’s balanced by soft bursts of acidity and has a long, expressive finish.

From the oldest Chardonnay vines on the property, planted in 1972, the bright straw-colored 2022 Chardonnay Little Hill is savory and very compelling, with aromas of light reduction as well as more mineral-driven aromas of wet stone, lime leaf, citrus oil, and green apples. Medium to full-bodied, it feels more vertical on the palate, with lovely, ripe lime oils and a long, long finish. It’s a beautiful wine with some real aging potential. Drink 2026-2037.
