The 2015 Zinfandel Mead Ranch from a site on Atlas Peak, is a powerful, savory wine. Dried cherry, cherry pit, herbs and white pepper are some of the nuances that give the wine its distinctive personality. The Mead Ranch is not as flashy as most of the other Zinfandels in the range. Today, the fruit is a bit muted and in the background. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
