2006 Arnot-Roberts Syrah Hudson Vineyard North Block

The 2006 Syrah Hudson Vineyard North Block is the most monolithic and least impressive of these Syrahs. This chunky effort reveals hints of coffee beans, blackberries, roasted herbs, and meat, along with high tannin, and a structured, but promising style. I am only providing tasting notes for the Arnot-Roberts cuvees for which there are more than 100 cases, which includes the Syrah Hudson Vineyard (220 cases) and Syrah Alder Springs Vineyard (150 cases).
