Note di degustazione
The 2015 Merlot-based Front Man is deep, powerful and unctuous, all qualities that are accentuated by the tiny yields of the vintage. Blackberry jam, spice, cloves, new leather and sweet French oak add to the wine's dense feel. This is an especially flamboyant style, even by Behrens's standards.

A more Merlot dominated cuvee that includes 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Merlot Front Man sports a deep ruby/purple color to go with a ripe, sexy, exuberant style on the palate. Currants, plums, black cherries, spicy oak and dried flower notes all flow from this medium to full-bodied, hedonistic beauty that does everything right. I don't think it's going to make the oldest of bones, but given its balance and purity, it might just surprise.
Deep garnet-purple colored and blended of 86% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Merlot Front Man has a warm plums, black cherries and sautéed herbs nose with an earthy undercurrent. The full, savory palate is firm, chewy and nicely understated.
