Note di degustazione
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Head in the Clouds is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest equal parts Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. This is a beautiful blend, with loads of blueberry and blackberry fruit, an opaque purple color, a hint of acacia flowers and subtle background wood. It’s broad, savory and expansive. This is a beauty to drink over the next decade, and typifies the boisterous, hedonistic style of the Behrens wines.

Black cherries, plum, smoke, mint, mocha and cloves are some of the many notes that flesh out in the 2013 Head in the Clouds. Dark, racy and voluptuous, the 2013 is another wine that will drink well with minimal cellaring. The inclusion of 10% Cabernet Franc and the overall expression of fruit tends towards the darker, spicier side of things. Head in the Clouds emerges from a number of sites in Napa, Oak Knoll, Pritchard Hill and Pope Valley.
