Pott's top-of-the line Cab—the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Incubo—is a stunner from his own vineyard on Mount Veeder, a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Cabernet Franc. Offering opulent, luxurious notes of cassis and dark chocolate, it's full-bodied, velvety and concentrated without being heavy, finishing long and rich.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Incubo is classic Mt. Veeder Cabernet built on depth and structure. Dried herbs, menthol, leather, spice and tobacco lend notable aromatic presence, but it is the whole that impresses in 2019. Readers who can find the Incubo will not want to hesitate, as it is fabulous.
In the same quality ballpark, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Incubo is all estate fruit and checks in as 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Cabernet Franc. It's another structured, age-worthy wine from Pott that has textbook notes of red and blue fruits, crushed stone, graphite, and lead pencil. The level of minerality is something, and it's medium to full-bodied, with building tannins, great concentration, and a brilliant finish. Give bottles 4-5 years if you can, but it's going to be long-lived.
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Incubo is bursting at the seams with Mt. Veeder character. Inky dark fruit, gravel, charcoal embers, chocolate, grilled herbs and blackberry jam infuse the 2019 with remarkable richness. The interplay of structural intensity and mid-palate sweetness makes for a baby Cabernet that is absolutely thrilling.
