Note di degustazione
(from vines in Mazoyères-Chambertin that were picked on the late side in 2014): Bright medium red. Raspberry and rose petal aromas are complemented by some earthy nuances. Creamy-sweet on entry, with firm-edged acidity giving shape and penetration to the flavors of red berries, flowers, licorice and pepper. Densely packed and savory, this highly perfumed wine finishes with excellent spicy length and a juiciness that stimulates the taste buds. A charmer.

(a blend of Charmes and Mazoyères): Healthy bright red. Superripe, high-toned nose shows a slight roasted berry quality along with milk chocolate and herbs; suggests a rather high pH--and fruit that ripened quickly. Fat and sweet on the palate, even a bit liqueur-like, with very ripe but youthfully reticent flavors of red fruits, dark cherry, menthol, herbs and torrefaction. Tannins are substantial but ripe. This is one of the first vineyards Magnien harvested (on September 15) but I find this wine a bit exotic.
