2017 Bedrock Chardonnay Chuy Vineyard

The 2017 Chardonnay Chuy is rich, phenolic and super-expressive, with all of the structure typical of Chardonnays from Sonoma's Moon Mountain district. This is in an especially savory style, with aromatics and fruit lying more in the background. There is a lot of personality and character here. This parcel was planted in 1974 with the “shot Wente” clone of Chardonnay, a clone that naturally produces dense, oily wines. The site is now under long-term lease with Kistler.
