2006 HALL Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Dark red. Redcurrant, mocha and toasty oak on the nose, with mineral and menthol nuances and a hint of fruit syrup. Dense and sweet but rather chunky, with a somewhat rustic texture to the currant and chocolate flavors. Finishes with unrefined slightly dry-edged tannins and some very ripe suggestions.
