All Syrah from the Silver Eagle Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast, the 2018 Syrah Fuego Y Mar is magical juice, offering textbook cool-climate Syrah notes of lavender, violets, bacon fat, and bay leaf as well as beautiful red and black fruits. It’s elegant and full-bodied, has good acidity, and is just a brilliant Syrah. It should cruise for over a decade in cold cellars, but there’s no harm in opening bottles today.
