The Grenache-based 2017 El Diablo is laced with pretty aromatic top notes and plenty of racy varietal fruit. Sweet red cherry, espresso, mint, kirsch and dried flowers all flesh out in this super-expressive, inviting wine. Deep, resonant and so inviting, the 2017 will drink well right out of the gate. The Diablo is one of the more perfumed, open-knit wines in the range today.

Another beauty, lots of blueberries, jammy blackberries, ground pepper, orange blossom, and floral notes emerge from the 2017 Grenache El Diablo, which comes from the Russian River Valley and is 97% Grenache and 3% Syrah. Tasting like a topflight Châteauneuf du Pape, this full-bodied, pure, even pretty, red can be drunk today or cellared for 7-8 years.
Blended of 97% Grenache and 3% Syrah, the 2017 El Diablo comes from the El Diablo vineyard and a vineyard on Eastside Road, both farmed by the Ulises Valdez familiy. The wines aged for 18 months in 30% new French oak. Medium garnet-purple colored, it sings of black and white pepper, Indian spices and dusty soil with a core of baked black cherries, red currant jelly and raspberry leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is firmly textured with chewy tannins, offsetting all that vibrant black and red fruit, finishing long and spicy. 125 cases produced.
