Note di degustazione
Slightly more restrained, but by no means a light or wimpish wine is the 2013 Zinfandel Vellutini Ranch (16.2% alcohol). This wine exhibits deep, rich, briary berry fruit, some wood spice, roasted herbs and earth. It is full-bodied, heady, rich, and best drunk over the next 5-7 years.

It's interesting to taste the 2013 Zinfandel Vellutini Ranch after the Vellutini Syrah, as both wines are quite powerful and intense. Game, smoke, tobacco and wild herbs wrap around a core of huge dark fruit. The Vellutini Ranch has a lot of everything; fruit, tannin and also alcohol that is a bit prominent, even within the context of Zinfandel. There is no shortage of personality, though. That is for sure.
Informazioni sul produttore

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
