Punteggio 88/100 · Da bere 2014-2022, Robert Parker, Oct 2014

. The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Her Majesty’s Secret Service comes from three vineyard sources, Stagecoach Vineyard, a Pritchard Hill site and Atlas Peak. A very good 2011, it offers an earthy, slightly herbaceous, loamy soil, and red and blackcurrant-scented bouquet, medium body, and lots of spice. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Pott’s 2012s are fabulous as are his 2013s.

Good full ruby. Aromas of cassis, plum and licorice complicated by sexy oak tones. At once plush and firmly structured, with ripe flavors of plum and tobacco leaf. Finishes with broad, spreading tannins and lingering sweetness. A very successful 2011 cabernet, cleaner and better balanced than the 2010 version.

Pott's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Her Majesty's Secret Service Stagecoach Vineyard, from M5 parcel in Stagecoach, is savory, expressive and nuanced to the core. Sweet tobacco, grilled herbs, dried flowers, cedar, licorice and menthol all add complexity over time. The M5 is distinctly savory and perfumed with less overt fruit than some of the other 2011s in the range, the Quixote in particular. There is a lot to like in this distinctive, layered Cabernet Sauvignon from Aaron Pott.

Good medium ruby. Dark aromas of cassis, black cherry and bitter chocolate are lifted by notes of herbs, pepper and iris. Supple, dense and fine-grained, offering lovely definition to the flavors of black fruits, licorice pastille and spicy oak. Youthfully backward today, finishing with substantial mountain tannins and obvious oak. These 2011s are in the 14% to 14.2% alcohol range, according to Aaron Pott.
