2001 Clos Mimi Syrah Bunny Slope Vineyard

The 2001 Syrah Bunny Slope Vineyard is an original, artistic expression of this varietal. Complex aromas of damp earth, quince, kirsch, plums, spice box, pepper, and tar are followed by an Amarone-like attack revealing broad, gamy, distinct flavors. The finish is slightly clipped as well as short with an intrusive earthy character. Not for everybody, it does not reveal Clos Mimi’s typical opulence and generosity.
