2007 Three Sticks Chardonnay Durell Vineyard

Bright yellow-gold. Exotic aromas of smoky orchard and citrus fruits, mace, nougat and toasty lees. Pliant, palate-staining pear and orange flavors are complicated by notes of iodine and vanilla bean, with a smoky quality building with air. Finishes with very good persistence and echoes of smoke and pear skin.
