Light gold. Vibrant, mineral-dominated aromas of orange zest, pear and quinine, with a sexy floral nuance and a hint of smoky lees. Taut, focused and pure, offering concentrated orchard and citrus fruit flavors that are underscored by notes of iodine and chalky minerality. Finishes spicy, stony and long, with lingering floral and ginger notes and excellent clarity.

A broad-shouldered wine, the 2011 Chardonnay Camp Meeting Ridge Vineyard is also wonderfully floral and gracious. White stone fruits, flowers, pears, spices and crushed rocks inhabit an expressive high-toned register of aromas and flavors. Deceptively medium-in body, the 2011 is a wine of understated structure. All the elements are in the right place. What a gorgeous wine this is.
