Note di degustazione
Shirley Roy's 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon has turned out beautifully. Dark, sumptuous and flamboyant, the 2015 is super-expressive today. A rush of super-ripe black cherry, blackberry jam, torrefaction, cola, chocolate, spice, menthol and licorice infuses this sumptuous, inviting Cabernet Sauvignon. All of the best qualities of the year are very much on display. Drink it over the next decade or so.

Containing splashes of Merlot and Petit Verdot and aged for 27 months in 100% new 225-liter Taransaud French oak barrels, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is very deep garnet-black in color and opens with slightly closed notes of warm cassis, mincemeat pie, Black Forest cake and mulberries with touches of sandalwood, dark chocolate and fragrant earth. Full, rich and spicy in the mouth, it has a firm backbone of chewy tannins and a lively line lifting the long, decadent finish. 600 cases produced.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep, plush and inviting, with fabulous textural richness and density. Blackberry jam, chocolate, sweet French oak, grilled herbs and menthol are pushed forward in this voluptuous, flamboyant Cabernet Sauvignon. Shirley Roy's modern, plush wines are amped up even further in 2015. This is a terrific example of that.
Inky blue and purplish fruit, licorice, crème de cassis and sweet spices infuse the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon. Young and intensely primary, the 2015 tasted almost like a young wine drained from tank. There is plenty of potential here.
