The 2022 Trousseau Gris Fanucchi Wood Road is bright and racy, with a lively nose of citrus blossom, mint, and some savory, dried herb-like nuances. One of those wines that makes you salivate, it's medium-bodied, has a supple, juicy mouthfeel, and a clean finish. As with everything from this producer, it's impeccably made and undeniably delicious.

Whole-cluster pressed to stainless steel for fermentation, with roughly 10% reserved for fermentation in barrel. Malolactic conversion is blocked. 396 cases made. Palest gold with a hint of green. Aromas of orange peel, unripe peaches and grapefruit pith. Bright grapefruit pith, peach pit and lemon flavours have a nice stony backdrop and excellent acidity. Crisp and fresh. (AY)
