D. R Stephens has produced a sexy 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon (alcohol is only 14.3%, which is low in 2013) with supple tannins, juicy, big blackcurrant fruit flavors, with licorice, background spice and wood. It’s medium to full-bodied, lush, and ideal for drinking now and over the next 12-15 years.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Moose Valley Vineyard is deep, plush and explosive, with tons of ripe fruit and a racy, bold personality. Sweet black cherry, spices, new French oak and flowers add nuance, but the ripeness is elevated to the point that the alcohol peeks through, while the finish is abrupt.
