2015 Rivers-Marie Chardonnay Sonoma Coast

The 2015 Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast) is a gorgeous entry-level offering from Rivers-Marie. Apricot, lemon peel and white flowers are beautifully delineated throughout. The 2015 is fresh, vibrant and wonderfully nuanced. Chalk, white pepper and floral notes add freshness to the citrus-inflected flavors. Partially blocked malolactic fermentation adds brightness. Fruit sources are Lucky Well and Riddle. If I were only limited to one Chardonnay in this range, this would be it. And the price? Absurd.
