I first met Pam Starr about ten years ago when I was a graduate student in Boston. Since then, her wines have always delivered the goods. Both of these new releases are drop dead gorgeous. The 2010 Cabernet Franc is laced with freshly cut flowers, sweet herbs and juicy red berries. My sense is that the 2010 is best enjoyed over the next few years, while the wine's floral vibrancy remains on full display. Layered, expressive and quite pretty, Crocker & Starr's 2010 Cabernet Franc is firing on all cylinders today.
