The nose of the 2020 Zinfandel Saitone Vineyard moves to a darker, more graphite earth tone, black raspberry, and cocoa powder. The palate has a more glycerin feel up front, yet it’s fully dry, with a very attractive soft, stony mouthfeel. Really pleasant and hard to resist now, it can be drunk over the next 10 years.

The 2020 Zinfandel Saitone Vineyard is laced with dark cherry, plum, spice, new leather, menthol and licorice. Pliant and creamy, but in the mid-weight style of the year, the 2020 is very nicely balanced. Like all the 2020s here, the Saitone is pretty understated, but this site offers a good deal of natural exuberance to partially compensate for the challenges of the growing season.
