Note di degustazione
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Teucer is powerful and explosive in the glass, but it is also marked by huge tannins. If it softens, the 2013 may merit a more positive note in the future, but I expect it will always be a bit of a bruiser.

Purlieu's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Teucer Vineyard is a deep, powerful, inky wine. Intensity and concentration are taken to the extreme, while the copious new French oak has left the wine with notable sweetness while also clamping down on the fruit. The 2013 doesn't have the balance of the best wines in this range.
From a vineyard I have never seen before, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Teucer Vineyard from Coombsville, is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from clone 7. This brings up the earthier, mineral side of Napa Cabernet. Dense purple, the wine is rich, layered, almost gravel-like, with notes of stones, damp earth, forest floor and oodles of black fruits. This is a big, brawny, masculine style of Cabernet Sauvignon to forget for 5-6 years and drink over the following 20 or more.
