The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortuna Vineyard is one of the more alluring wines in Turnbull's range. Dark red fruit, floral notes and silky tannins give the Fortuna its distinctive mid-weight, sensual personality. Rose petal, spice and star anise add aromatic top notes to this pretty, exquisitely layered Cabernet Sauvignon. All the elements are impeccably balanced. There is so much to like in the Fortuna, a wine that is inviting from the very first taste. (AG)

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortuna Vineyard is a little youthfully mute, slowly unfurling to reveal fresh black cherries, blackcurrants and wild blueberries with wafts of underbrush, new leather, cinnamon stick and cloves plus a touch of mossy bark. Medium to full-bodied, wonderfully elegant and sophisticated in the mouth, it has a solid backbone of grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with great poise.
