Smoky bark permeates the nose in this wine from a site along Westside Road in the heart of the appellation. While brooding in black cherry and strawberry flavors, it's also stemmy and earthy, with an underlying succulence and flashing acidity that makes it juicy and delicious. — Virginie Boone

The 2015 Pinot Noir Bucher Vineyard is wild, feral and gamy. Some readers may find pleasure in this powerful, animalistic style of Pinot. I can't say that I do.
The medium ruby-purple colored 2015 Pinot Noir Bucher Vineyard opens with pronounced stems/fragrant herbs notes over a core of kirsch, warm mulberries and rhubarb plus touches of cinnamon stick and underbrush. Medium-bodied and super intense in the mouth, it has firm, chewy tannins and bright acidity lifting the herbal and savory flavors to a very long finish. 522 cases produced.
