A pliant, expressive wine, the 2009 Quartet is ripe, sensual and juicy, with generous dark fruit, supple tannins and enough aromatic nuance to provide fine drinking for at least a number of years. This is an especially juicy, voluptuous vintage for the Quartet. With time in the glass, the 2009 shows a darker side to its fruit, along with more tertiary notes that are starting to develop.

Cabernet blend. Dense and with a slightly green note. Thick, fine, and with great potential. (JR)
(62% cabernet sauvignon, 17% cabernet franc, 7% merlot and 4% petit verdot): Bright red-ruby. Expressive nose offers plum, redcurrant, raspberry, spices, loam and licorice. Lush and rather open-knit but not particularly sweet, with red berry, licorice and floral flavors nicely framed by harmonious acidity. Finishes with broad tannins and excellent length. Fresh and youthful but offers plenty of immediate appeal.
The 2009 Quartet caresses the palate with silky red berries, flowers, licorice and spices. This is a mid-weight, radiant Quartet loaded with class and personality. In 2009 the blend is 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 17% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot.
