2008 Freeman Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

Ruby-red. Intensely floral aromas of raspberry, cola and rose, lifted by a pungent white pepper quality. Spicy red berry flavors gain flesh and sweetness with air, picking up a smoky mineral quality and a note of candied flowers. Finishes juicy and very long, with berry skin and peppery spice notes. Most of this fruit comes from Green Valley, according to Ken Freeman.
