The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Melanson Vineyard is laced with black cherry, lavender, menthol, licorice and espresso. Here, too, the flavor profile leans towards the riper end of the spectrum, while structurally the wine is on the lighter side. That, in turn, exposes the tannins.

Darker cherries, currants, leafy herbs, spice, and some tobacco nuances all emerge from the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Melanson Vineyard, another ripe, pure, layered, supple 2022 that has sweet tannins and a great finish. As with most 2022s, it’s not going to be the longest-lived example of the cuvée, yet it’s upfront, has tons of fruit, and will unquestionably put a smile on your face any time over the coming 12-15 years.
