Note di degustazione
Bright dark red. Aromas of black raspberry, dark cherry, mocha and flowers, lifted by an exotic suggestion of sandalwood incense. Wonderfully sweet and gripping, conveying a strong sense of dusty extract but no easy sweetness. This has terrific acidity and inner-mouth energy without any shrillness. Finishes broad and uncompromisingly dry. Has buns of steel: this is for the cellar!

Medium red. Brown spices, chocolate and minerals on the nose. Silky on entry, then broad in the middle, spreading out impressively to coat the palate. But coolly elegant rather than big-boned. Finishes quite persistent, with some apparent wood tannins.
Cask Sample Rich, dense whiff of truffles. Depth of flavour and lovely lift with some real intrigue. Red fruits. Much the most charming of the Louis Jadot Grand Crus. Spiny. (JR)
