2011 Behrens Family Erna Schein Cabernet Sauvignon Spare Me

Leather, savory herbs, menthol, tobacco and smoke meld into a core of juicy dark cherries and plums in the 2011 Spare Me. This is a gorgeous 2011 with terrific fruit intensity and attractive floral/savory overtones. The addition of 10% Petit Verdot adds underlying structure, but this remains an essentially supple, fruit-driven wine. There is a lot to like here.
