Note di degustazione
Seavey's 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Caravina is an attractive wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Dark red stone fruit, flowers and cinnamon add lift. The flavors are pure and nicely delineated, but the wine's mid-weight structure suggests the 2012 will offer its best drinking sooner rather than later.

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Caravina is composed of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. It sees only 40% new oak, and it is the largest production offering. A beauty, the 2012 is more seductive, open-knit, round and opulent in contrast to the bigger, more muscular and masculine Estate. Displaying terrific fruit, the 2012 has the drama and opulence of the vintage well-displayed. Moreover, it is a good value for a 90-point plus Napa Cabernet. Drink now-2026.
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Caravina is quite a bit more voluptuous and approachable than the 2011. Dark red cherries, plums, spices and lavender flesh out in an inviting, textured wine loaded with class and personality. Crushed flowers, red berries and tobacco add nuance on the finish. The 2012 is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot.
