Note di degustazione
The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a fabulous vintage for this wine (which benefited from the inclusion of the grapes normally reserved for Soul Of A Lion), and this is a wine I returned to several times during this tasting. Offering up aromas of crushed cassis, smoky plums, cigar tobacco and rich soil, the wine is full-bodied, concentrated and multidimensional on the palate, with savory complexity and tension that lend it a distinctly Bordelais feel (think southern Pauillac/northern Saint-Julien). The finish is long and beautifully defined. If you can find it, don't hesitate.

The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a huge wine. Black fruit, spices, smoke and licorice jump from the glass in an exuberant, voluptuous Cabernet Sauvignon endowed with notable depth and tons of pure texture. The style is super-ripe, opulent and intense, but all the elements are very nicely balanced.
Inky purple. Pungent aromas of dried cherry, blackberry and musky herbs, with a subtle floral nuance building with air. Juicy, concentrated and expansive, offering bitter cherry and licorice flavors and a hint of rose pastille. Dusty tannins give shape to the clinging, smoke-accented finish, very persistent finish.
