The 2014 Mars is just as compelling from bottle as it was from barrel. A striking, hillside site is Sonoma's Moon Mountain is the fruit source. Exotic and alluring, with tons of mountain energy, Mars is also one of the most distinctive wines in this range. The inclusion of 20% whole clusters brings out considerable aromatic nuance in this compelling Grenache/Syrah/Mourvèdre blend. (AG)

Wonderfully deep and centered, the 2014 Mars speaks to poise above all else. Helen Keplinger proves she can coax considerable nuance from these vines on Mt. Veeder. A host of dark red and black-fleshed stone fruits, sage, mint and lavender leave a very positive impression. The Mars is another fabulous 2014 from Helen Keplinger.
