Amazingly saturated and ripe-tasting, this full-bodied wine coats the palate with luxurious dried-fruit and complex oak-spice flavors. It\'s a brawny, muscular, fully tannic wine that\'s tempting to drink now, but can easily age for another ten years. Best from 2029.

The 2014 The Lark is the most reticent and tightly wound of the 100% Cabernets at Larkmead. A host of graphite, game, smoke and leather wrap around a core of intense dark fruit. The 2014 was much more expressive from barrel than it is today from bottle. Readers will have to be especially patient.

The impressive 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon The Lark (Black Label) shows loads of gorgeous black fruits, cedar wood, licorice and incense. 1,450 cases of the Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon were made.

The 2014 The Lark is built to please all the senses. Powerful and layered, yet also quite reticent, the 2014 is going to need a number of years to fully blossom, but it is gorgeous. Pomegranate, blueberry jam and spices find support in beams of underlying tannin that give the wine much of its energy. Even with all of its intensity, the 2014 is a remarkably polished Lark.
