The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Coliseum Block does not come from Howell Mountain, but rather is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Hossfeld Vineyard in the backwater southeastern Napa area of Soda Canyon. A beautiful, pure Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of cassis, blueberry, white flowers and earth, this wine from these hillside vineyards spent 20 months in oak and shows full-bodied, supple, well-integrated tannins and loads of vibrancy and freshness. This beauty should drink well for 20 or more years.
