2003 Arcadian Pinot Noir Dierberg Vineyard

Medium red with a palish rim. Rather reduced nose offers spices, meat, mocha and smoke. Supple and plump, with strawberry, mineral and smoke flavors complicated by lovely pinot earth character. Very sweet, smooth wine, finishing with supple tannins and very good length. (A second bottle offered similar aromas and flavors but was a bit drier on the finish, with dusty tannins, rating 88 points.)
