The 2018 Verdicchio di Matelica is a bit muddled in the glass, slightly herbal with crushed apples and a hint of fresh tobacco. It washes across the palate with a salty mix of minerals and white pit fruits; a hint of sage forms toward the close. This finishes with medium length yet leaves the mouth watering, as a hint of raw almond lingers.
