The 2022 Merlot Hudson Vineyards is all varietal from two old vine blocks (planted in 1986). It's a medium to full-bodied, forward, nicely balanced 2022 offering plummy, chocolatey dark fruits, a hint of iron and black olive, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. It's not massively concentrated but has tons of charm and accessibility.

Sourced from some of the oldest vines on Lee Hudson's Carneros property, Arietta's 2022 Merlot Hudson Vineyards combines ripe black cherries with some attractive herbal nuances. Aged in 40% new French oak and 100% Merlot, this vintage is medium to full-bodied, quite tannic and firm and seems destined to age well for as much as 15 years.
The 2022 Merlot Hudson Vineyards is gorgeous. Medium in body and aromatic, the 2022 offers lovely aromatic and savory top notes to complement a core of red-toned fruit. Readers will find an especially perfumed wine.
