Note di degustazione
Lots of up-front black cherry, currants, leafy herbs, and violet/flower notes, as well as a hints of marine-like salinity and iron, emerge from the 2019 Merlot Hudson Vineyards, another medium to full-bodied, pure, beautifully balanced wine. It too should keep for over a decade. 332 cases.

The 2019 Merlot Hudson Vineyards is packed with dark plum fruit, chocolate and a whole range of cool-climate savory notes that add complexity as well as nuance. The Hudson Merlot is one of the most distinctive wines in Napa Valley, but it needs cellaring to be at its best. These are the oldest vines on Lee Hudson's property.
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Merlot Hudson Vineyards prances out of the glass with notions of stewed black plums, blueberries and boysenberries, plus hints of star anise, bay leaves and tilled loam. Full-bodied, soft and juicy, the palate has bags of bright black fruits with a lively line and lifted finish.
The 2019 Merlot Hudson Vineyard is a total bomb. Beautifully ripe and exotic to the core, the 2019 possesses tremendous depth, richness and textural intensity. Inky dark fruit, spice, lavender and chocolate all build as this explosive Merlot shows off its allure. Even with all of its intensity the 2019 retains terrific structure and verve. These are the oldest vines planted at Hudson and date back to 1986, eons ago by Napa Valley standards.
