Lastly, and probably the superstar of the three Cabs, is the 2013 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from St. Helena. This vineyard is planted with the Bosché clone, and the wine offers plenty of blueberry, blackberry, violet, cedarwood and licorice as well as some forest floor in a lush, full-bodied style with terrific intensity, purity and overall equilibrium. The tannins are sweet and the wine rich and powerful (15.1% alcohol). This is the biggest cuvée of any of these wines and well worth seeking out.

Bure's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is surprisingly juicy and forward in this vintage, with plenty of fleshiness to go around. The flavors are dark, rich and bold, which is to say very much in the style of the year. Powerful and explosive, the 2013 has plenty of energy, although it remains one of the most accessible wines of the vintage.
