Note di degustazione
A purple to ruby hue, the 2021 Zinfandel Papera Vineyard is balanced with red and black fruits, wild berries, rosemary, and fresh earth. Full-bodied, it packs in good structure, with ripe tannins and fresh, snappy acidity in its notes of peach, grenadine, mocha, and wet stone. It’s long on the palate and has a good finish. Give it another couple of years and drink 2026-2040.

The 2021 Zinfandel Papera Vineyard comes from mostly dry-farmed vines planted in 1934 and was matured for 13 months in 29% new oak. It has a medium ruby-purple color and gregarious scents of wild berry jam, orange peel, peach and wildflowers, opening to potpourri and bitters-like spices as it airs in the glass. The palate is powerful and seamlessly structured, with generous layers of fruit and a long, latent finish. It deserves to unwind for another 3-5 years and will be long-lived in the cellar. 375 cases were made.
