The 2015 Proprietary White Mekerra is bright, focused and quite fresh, especially within the context of the vintage. This high altitude site performed admirably in 2015. The lemon confit, mint and floral notes show quite a bit of vibrancy. Expressive mineral notes extend the finish nicely.

Located at 2,300-2,500 feet (above Peter Michael) and produced from 100% Sauvignon Blanc aged two years in oak, 89% new, the 2015 Mekerra Proprietary White features intense aromas of white peaches, pink grapefruit and passionfruit with touches of dried herbs, baking bread and honeycomb. Medium to full-bodied, it is an expressive, opulent, full-on bold style with a gorgeous satiny texture and wonderful freshness, finishing long on a cedary note. It’s delicious now but it should age beautifully over the next 5-8 years! 221 cases made.
