Note di degustazione
The 2017 Mazoyeres-Chambertin Grand Cru shows quite a lot of oak on the nose, missing the delineation of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, good substance and grippy tannins. Quite firm in the mouth and lightly spiced. The finish feels quite solid and Latricières in style. I suspect this might come good with bottle age. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.

The 2017 Mazoyères-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has a gorgeous bouquet of mainly black fruit, plus damp-earthy, mossy and light truffle aromas that gain intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, very well-judged acidity and more density and grip on the finish compared to the Charmes-Chambertin. That said, I think the 2018 has more complexity and pedigree. Very fine.
