2013 Keplinger Sumo

The 2013 Sumo is one of the best and most exciting wines I have tasted from Helen Keplinger. Sweet red cherry jam, pomegranate, wild flowers, mint and spice notes all race from the glass in a wine of exceptional purity. I very much like the sense of energy that runs through the 2013, a wine that reconciles intensity with finesse. Dollops of Syrah and Viognier round out this Petite Sirah-based red.
